This month once again Bali will be filled with spectacular cultural festival. It is the 2010 Tanah Lot Arts Festival. By its name people already realize that this festival is held in Tanah Lot, the most famous tourism object in Bali. Tanah Lot Arts Festival is planned to be held from July 26, and last until 1 August. Since Tanah Lot located in Tabanan regency, then it is most will perform the Tabanan people arts, cultures and traditions. The event itself is planned to be filled with traditional dances, art exhibition, and many more. The theme for 2010 Tanah Lot Festival is called ‘Poleng‘. Poleng is taken from a Balinese language. In Bali, poleng means something that has more than one color, but this word mostly used to something contains black and white colors. Another reason of the choice of this word is that poleng represent a holy snake in black and white, which is believed as the guard of Tanah Lot. This event is hoped can be a great place for Tabanan artisan to do promotion to the world. That is why this seven days festival preparing 3,000 local artist. Those artists consist of traditional music artist, dance, painting, stone, and many more. Besides, some old and classic art performance that rarely performed in front of tourist also can be seen here. There are three special programs that can be seen here in Tanah Lot Festival. The first is the Baleganjur festival. Baleganjur is a kind of traditional music orchestra. In this festival, Baleganjur will be performed by youth from hamlets in Beraban village, Tabanan regency. They will do their best to be the winner.  Besides Baleganjur festival, there is also one new special program includes in culinary festival. It is the Klepon festival. Klepon is one traditional cake in Bali and Indonesia and for years has become the favorite of Balinese. Klepon shapes small and round and what makes it special that there is liquid palm sugar inside it. So when the klepon is bitten, the sweet-liquid-palm sugar will spurt inside the mouth. This klepon competition will be followed by klepon seller in all over Tabanan. The last special program is the one that awaited by many people is the giant Kites festival.
