In what promises to be the most action packed two day event in the history of world famous Kuta Beach, the Rip Curl Surf and Music is primed and ready to take over Halfway’s for the weekend of November 13-14, 2010 and present their annual surf, rock and skate extravaganza.

At the top of the list and promising a nail biting climax to this years ISC tour, Rip Curl team riders Putra Hermawan and Pepen Hendrix will battle it out for the 2010 Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship title with Indonesia’s best pro surfers in this the last event of the 2010 tour season.

Putra is currently ranked number one and would be the youngest ever Indonesian to win the championship at 18 years old, whereas Pepen was the first ISC champion (2004) and would be the oldest ever ISC champion at 33 years old, so be prepared to watch these two put on a wild and crazy show in this historic title race.

Rip Curl will also introduce the first-ever Mirage Airshow presented by Kawasaki, where Indonesia’s best aerial specialists will be invited to compete in a high flying exhibition and the winner will receive a brand new Kawasaki motorcycle.

For all the surfers attending the event but not competing this year, Rip Curl will have a Surfboard Test Drive Centre located on the contest site where anyone can take one of over 40 available new surfboards for a Test Drive, giving surfers a unique opportunity to try any board from Rip Curl’s extensive range of top shapes including DHD, Byrne, Don Johnson, Richard Evans and many more.

Rounding out the surfing action will be Rip Curl GromSearch National Finals that will see the top 2 grom finalists from previous events in Sumbawa, West Java, Bali and a wild card from Sumatra all competing for an all expense paid trip to Australia to join the World GromSearch Final at Bells Beach next year.

Also on the weekend’s agenda will be the Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival Skating competition, where Indonesia’s best skateboarders will grind it out in both Street and Mini ramp divisions.  On Saturday they will be free skating the ramps and going big, practicing up for the real deal on Sunday where the big cash awaits the winners.

And Sunday will indeed be THE GRAND FINALE, with the finals of the ISC Open, Longboard, and Women’s Divisions, the GromSearch final, the Mirage Airshow final, the Skate Final, the awards presentation and championship crowning, and last-but-not-least, hours and hours of great rocking MUSIC!

The best way to end a weekend at the beach is by rocking far into the night like there is no tomorrow, so starting at 5 on Sunday afternoon Rip Curl will present the biggest free outdoor music event in Bali with Dialog Dini Hari, Devil Dice, Tol Band Tol, and guest  performers EFEK RUMAH KACA, and SERINGAI taking to the stage and taking it on home.
