Trick or Treat!!

Halloween time is coming at the end of this October. It does the western tradition, but in Bali, everything can be more and more exciting.

Since tourism has become so important in Bali and tourist start coming to Bali, annually, Bali also holds Halloween party, which most are held by property like hotel and villa, or nightclub along Kuta area.

Since you are in Bali, and then surely should use Balinese -way costume in celebrating this Halloween. It means that most should use Balinese or Indonesian ghosts. Masks and costumes are usually easy to find around Kuta area.

Though Halloween in Bali only celebrated by certain party, it still bring great new experience. For you who are in Bali at the end of this October, make sure you’ll not skip this moment, celebrate Halloween in Bali.

Brief History of Halloween

Halloween first was come from Ireland. The Irish then brought this tradition when they migrate to USA. On Halloween, kids travelling from door to door using scary costume asking for candy or chocolate while saying Trick or Treat! That words is as a ‘threat’ which means; ‘give me candy or I’ll did cruel thing’.

Halloween is closely related to Satan, witch and goblin, and other scary ghosts. Calabash is the symbol of Halloween. It is carved to shape scare face, and named Jack O’Lanterns. This tradition came from North America which produce huge calabash. Other Halloween symbol is the witch broomstick.
