Wearing jeans paired with a tube top and a bright green jacket, her long red hair was flowing as a flying saucer – like – ufo – bracelet dangles from her wrist. When I asked her about it, she explained  that since she was a child, the “outer space” and later on her esoteric studies on Astrology and whatever mystery is beyond our planet, was a great source of inspiration. Milena Zu is the creative Italian designer behind Galaxyan, a metallic line of mesh jewelry inspired by name of stars and constellation. Each and every piece of the jewelry is designed personally by her and crafted carefully by her highly skillful artisans in Bali and are enhanced with the sacred power of geometric grids and numerology. Growing up Milena had always been fond of arts, which then led her to study formally in the Art School in Turin, her hometown. Milena studied and worked several years until she mastered a number of esoteric and ancient healing arts.

Up to this day she still finds the time to give sessions of crystal healing and astrological readings to her clients. On her first trip to Bali many years ago she was inspired and guided in her night- dreams to create a line of spiritual jewelry, which could carry into  thw world the knowledge and power of crystal healing. She called this line “healing jewels”. Soon after, she came across the ancient technique of weaving metals, which was used in the ancient times only for garments and jewellry of Maharajas and Aristocrat of the orient. She knew  immediately this was exactly what she was looking for to manifest her visionary jewellry . The “Galaxyan” line was born, which took several years of struggle and hard work to reach the high level of technique her artisans are producing nowadays  something she could have never done alone without her Balinese bussiness partner Nyoman. His great ability to interpret her designs and guide to workers  to manifest her visions into pieces of art was paramount to being where she is  today – receiving recognition from her work and having her own line being represented in several countries.
