The north coast of Bali is as far as you can travel, from culturally and geography. My initial impression on arrival was on of surprise, because my previous in here was just a beach, change out at the car, which mean all diving gear and cameras have to keep in the car as well. But now, I found a shaded & concreted area with gear benches, camera & dive gear rinse tanks, showers and a toilet block under construction.Not all just that I found a warung that we could lunch there, their barbecue fish mix with rice and sambal is very delicious.

Then I geared up, I just simple walking to enter the site.  Under  seawater is a gently slope with black sandy , and the depth is about 12 M. The visibility is about less than 1m, but it will improves rapidly once you head out to the drop-off where it’s typically about 15m. All I could see it just dark sand, and my diving guide, mr segara gently inserted his small wood stick into the sand. well away from the mimic, it responded by slowly emerging from it’s hiding place.  We also spotted blue ring octopus, frog fish, robust & ornate ghost pipefish, snake eels, crocodile fish.

Being a shallow site of generally less than 10m, dive time can be quite long and it was usually hunger (or bladder pressure…) that made me head back to the beach. There are three basic requirements for the hot spot, irst the area needs to be sheltered from bad weather and strong wave action. The second is there needs to be a source of fresh water run-off, and the last is the spot must be flushed regularly by deep-water upwellings that bring cold-water, rich with the detritus of the sea.
